Dear 6th Grade Parents,
We hope your student's first few days of school have gone well. We realize there are challenges for families having children at two different location and we appreciate your patience. We are hopeful to have all of our school together soon.
Our enrollment in 6th grade has continued to grow the past few weeks which is exciting! With the increased enrollment comes the need to hire an additional teacher for our 6th grade. This is a full-time position that was posted on our district site last Thursday. We are interviewing for this position later this week. There are applicants coming in each day who have applied. We are looking to find the best possible applicant to join our great 6th grade team. If you are aware of anyone who would like to apply they can do so by going to www.wsd.net. We won't hire anyone we don't feel will be a great fit for our 6th grade students, team and school.
Please be flexible and understanding as we take two classes to make an additional class. This will require some changes to teachers, but is necessary with the size of classes we have right now. We will keep you informed on the hiring process.
