Dear Haven Bay Parents, Guardians and Employees,

As you are aware we will be welcoming our amazing students on Monday, September 9 to Haven Bay.

Open House:  Friday, September 6, from 3:30-5:30 pm.  We have already had our Back to School Night to meet teachers so this will be a time for parents to come with students to see Haven Bay and your child’s classroom.  Keep in mind there will be an Open House event at a later date once our beautiful school is fully completed to see the school in its entirety.

School Schedule: Because we started on the first day of school at Hooper and Kanesville we don't have to make up any time and will be on the same schedule as the other schools in Weber School District.  School begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 3:20 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays are an early out schedule, students will be dismissed at 12:20 PM.

Bussing: The bussing schedules and stops that have been used to transport students to Hooper and Kanesville will no longer be accurate. Please access Haven Bay bussing information at Bus Locator.

Walking Information: For those who will be walking to school, crossing guards will be stationed along 5100 West and in front of the school on 3300 South.  The cities plan to have crossing guards on 5100 West at about 3500 South and another one at 3300 South.  There will also be one directly in front of the school. West Haven City is still in need of one crossing guard, so if you know of anyone who is interested, please have them reach out to the city.  Also, the city has been working on installing the temporary walking path along 5100 West, and there is a new crosswalk in place at about 3500 South.

Continuing Construction: While the majority of the construction has been completed, there are still some areas of the school that will remain under construction for a short period. These areas are secured and will not impact student safety or access to essential facilities. The construction workers will not be interacting with students and will enter and exit the school through a different entrance. We will keep you updated on the progress.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we embark on this new chapter at Haven Bay Elementary. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

‍Justin Skeen
