A brightly lit, modern classroom where several elementary-aged girls are seated at gray desks, focused on a paper-weaving art project. In the foreground, a girl in a white "CALIFORNIA" sweatshirt weaves yellow paper strips into a pink base. To her right, another girl in a light blue shirt smiles toward the camera. Other students are visible in the background using scissors and glue sticks. The room features a glass wall decorated with pink and red paper hearts, a white storage cart, and a large whiteboard filled with handwritten classroom schedules and "Math" charts.

🪶 Our 5th Graders had an incredible time wrapping up their unit on Colonial America this past Friday! It was a hands-on journey back in time right here in the classroom. The students dove deep into history by churning their own homemade butter (and yes, they got to taste it!), mastering the art of weaving, and competing in traditional colonial games. 🗺️

It’s always amazing to see our students bring their lessons to life through such fun, interactive experiences. Way to go, 5th grade! You truly embody the spirit of the Great Blue Heron 𓅞—focused, curious, and soaring to new heights of learning! 🎓✨
