The morning sun lit up Haven Bay Elementary with extra brilliance today as our wonderful community gathered for a joyous Walk and Roll to School Day 👟! Upbeat music echoed down the sidewalks, setting an energetic tone as our Herons arrived on foot, riding scooters, and rolling into the school grounds with massive smiles. Students who ride the bus got to join in on the celebration! Bus drivers dropped students off near the school, giving everyone the chance to walk the final stretch together, enjoy the upbeat tunes, and soak in the incredible morning energy.
Our Herons were thrilled to be greeted along the route by special guests who made the morning feel like a true community parade! Local first responders from the Weber County Sheriff's Department and West Haven Fire Station 63 lined the walkways, giving high-fives and safe-crossing encouragement. Joining in on the fun were West Haven Mayor Rob Vanderwood and Weber School District Board Member Jan Burrell, who both shared warm greetings and cheered on our students as they headed into the building. Inside and outside, the atmosphere was packed with school pride and friendly connections.
Events like this truly show what makes Haven Bay Elementary such a phenomenal place for our children to thrive 🎉. The incredible effort put forth by our PTA, school leaders, and local heroes created an unforgettable experience that brought health, safety, and joy straight to our front doors. A huge thank you to Haven Bay’s PTA for organizing such a seamless and inclusive event, and to all the families and community members who helped start the day on such a high note. Our Herons are soaring higher than ever 🦅!
