That’s a wrap! Haven Bay’s first year is officially in the books. A huge thank you to our incredible PTA for turning the final day into an unforgettable event, complete with Field Day fun and a hilarious human sundae!🍦🎉
To the amazing parents who gave up their day to set up, run, and take down the event stations — thank you! Because of your hard work, our students had an absolute blast (and got soaking wet!💦), while our teachers got to sit back, cheer on their classes, and enjoy the fun.👏
Have a fantastic summer, Haven Bay!☀️ We’ll see you soon!❤️

The end-of-year kickball game between the 6th grade and the staff was fun for everyone! 🥳 Although the staff gave it their all—and Mr. Skeen even attempted to catch a ball with his face 🤕—the sixth graders came out on top. 🏆 They were focused, determined, and united in their goal to beat the staff team. 💪 The spectators actively cheered for their team to win 📣, and their energy helped spur the sixth grade to victory. 🎉 Way to go, sixth grade! 🙌 #HBES #sixthgrade #schoolspirit #kickball #WeberDistrict

🚒 The Safety Brigade Visits Haven Bay! 🔥
Today, our kindergarten through third-grade students had an exciting and educational visit from the Safety Brigade! 👨🚒👩🚒 This dedicated team, made up of Weber Fire Department employees, specializes in teaching general safety tips and fire safety lessons to communities and schools. 🏫
During their visit, students learned valuable information about first aid 🩹, outdoor safety 🌳, and fire safety 🚨 through engaging, age-appropriate demonstrations and activities. 🎉
We're so grateful to the Safety Brigade for helping our students become more aware and prepared to stay safe in various situations! 🙌
Thank you, Weber Fire Department, for your continued service and commitment to educating our youth! ❤️👧🧒 #weberfiredistrict #HBES #safetyfirst @weberfiredistrict

🐣🦋🐞 2nd Grade Life Cycles Project – A Journey of Growth 🐛🌿🦗
This spring, our classroom transformed into a living laboratory where curiosity took flight—literally! Through our Life Cycles Project, students had the chance to observe and nurture real animals from beginning to end, learning firsthand about the miraculous cycles of life.
🌱 Butterflies
From tiny caterpillars to chrysalises to vibrant, fluttering butterflies, students watched the complete metamorphosis unfold. We released our butterflies today, setting them free to explore their wild home.
🦗 Praying Mantis
Our praying mantis nymphs emerged in a burst of excitement, teaching students about camouflage, predation, and the delicate balance of nature. Today, we bid them farewell into the wild.
🐞 Ladybugs
These helpful garden guests were the first to complete their journey. Students watched them grow from larvae to spotted beetles, releasing them last week with joy and pride.
🐣 Chicks
Possibly the most beloved part of the project—our fluffy baby chicks stole hearts and sparked conversations about warmth, care, and growth. They peeped their way into our routines and left for their new home last Friday.
Throughout the project, students developed not only scientific knowledge but also empathy, patience, and respect for all living things. We’re so proud of the learning, care, and curiosity they showed every day.
Though our animal friends have moved on to their next chapters, the lessons they brought will stay with the students forever. #success #HBES #lifelessons #secondgrade

Today, seniors from the inaugural graduating class of West Field High School came to walk the halls of Haven Bay. They chose to celebrate this milestone with us, proudly sharing their Longhorn pride. Students filled the lower hallways, cheering them on and celebrating their achievement as they made their way through the building. We look forward to many more years of graduating seniors walking these halls and continuing this proud tradition. #HavenBay #Congratulations #graduation #WestField

We're incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated PTA and supportive parents at Haven Bay Elementary. Menchie's Food Day. Saturday, May 3, all day. Come and support Haven Bay while eating delicious treats!

May 2 at West Field High School from 5PM-7:30PM

Tomorrow, March 21, is ROCK YOUR SOCKS Day! Wear funky, mismatched socks to school to help raise awareness about Down Syndrome. Every year on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Ds chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!

It's End of Quarter time! Students will be dismissed at 12:20PM on Friday, March 14.

On February 21st, our second graders had an unforgettable learning experience with Hogle Zoo! They explored Utah’s wetlands and desert habitats through interactive, hands-on activities featuring live animals. A huge thank you to Hogle Zoo for bringing the wonders of the wild to Haven Bay! 🐢🌵#HavenBay #HBHerons #Hogle Zoo

What an incredible week at Haven Bay! Our school had the pleasure of hosting Lunch with Loved Ones all week, and the students were absolutely thrilled to share this special time with their families. Every moment was truly heartwarming! A huge thank you to our PTA and the wonderful volunteers who went above and beyond, creating beautiful signs to guide our visitors and providing support in the hallways, lunchroom, and at the Book Fair. This event wouldn't have been such a tremendous success without their dedication and help!

We had professional storytellers visit Haven Bay today! The students listened and participated in multiple stories told to us by Karl Behling and Karla. Huntsman They are a part of the Weber State Storytelling Festival going on this week. For more information about the festival, go to https://www.weber.edu/storytelling/default.html
